Watermelon as a synth – Live at Bánya
I'm sure you've all seen those videos on socials where they say "Now you can hear the sound of nature!" and then they hook up electrodes to a tree and you get this beautiful, magical soundscape. Well, I'm sorry to say — that's not the sound of the forest, although nature did contribute some electric charges to make it happen. Because everything vibrates :)
Calling that "the sound of the tree" is simply eyewash. The sound is created by a synth — it could be any sound. But it does have some randomizing qualities that I like, and to balance out the above statement, I tend to choose ridiculous things to play through, like a cabbage, or this time, a watermelon.
It happened at Bánya at the beginning of August, and I loved the place, the concert, and the watermelon — because, oh well, we ate it afterwards.
The quality is absolutely sh*t, sorry for the inconvenience, it's not the content I'm creating. (But happy to hear any suggestions on how to make that easy.)
